IPL Treatments using Ellipse Light
ELLIPSE HAIR REMOVAL
Ellipse hair removal remains one of the world’s most popular aesthetic procedures. To achieve long lasting or permanent hair removal, it is necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which individual hairs grow. Controlled pulses of light penetrate the epidermis and are absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. Melanin converts the light energy into heat. This heat is transferred to the hair follicle, which is destroyed, making it unable to produce a new hair. Hair in the resting (telogen stage) are treated later. The treatment is only effective on growing hairs as these are still attached to the follicle. This technique is called ‘Selective Photothermolysis’.
ELLIPSE SKIN REJUVENATION
The Ellipse treatment works by directing well-controlled pulses of light into the upper skin layer. The light is absorbed by two of the body’s own natural chemicals - melanin in the pigmented areas and haemoglobin in the red blood cells.
ELLIPSE THREAD VEIN REMOVAL
The Ellipse Light Treatment can be used to treat vascularity and thread veins affecting the face.
Ellipse uses short, safe bursts of light to quickly remove those surface capillaries fram your body. A thread vein is a small blood vessel near the surface of the skin. Short bursts of light are guided over the blood vessels to destroy the protein in the wall of the thread vein. As a result the veins will gradually and safely disappear. There is no recovery time, but the skin will be slightly red for an hour after treatment. However, in rare circumstances, where the treated area has a high density of lesions the redness may last up to 24 hours.
On average 1-4 treatments with a 4 week interval may be necessary. full consultation required. Course required for maximum results.
